NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PROJECT

PROCUREMENT OF WATER QUALITY MONITORING EQUIPMENT
WRMA/NRM/01/ 2007-08

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business on September 12, 2007.

2. The Government of Kenya has received a loan/credit from the International Development Association] toward the cost of The Natural Resources Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan/credit to payments under the Contract for The procurement of Water Quality Monitoring Equipment: Contract No. WRMA/NRM/01/2007-08

3. The Water Resource Management Authority now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply Water Quality Monitoring Equipment as described in the bidding documents, including: (a) Laboratory Equipments, (b) Field equipment, (c) Meters.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, revised October 2006 and are open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

And inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. office working hours from Monday to Friday.

6. Qualifications requirements include: technical as per section vi part 3 and submission of Bid bond. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Five Thousand Kenya Shillings. The method of payment will be By Bankers Cheque. The Bidding Documents will be sent by Courier Services or preferably collected by the Bidder at the address below.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10.00 a.m. the 11th July 2008. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 10.15 a.m. the 11th July 2008. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 1% of the Bid price.
