Contract Package P6: Upgrade of Kpong Generating Station Switchgear

1. CONTRACT AWARD:

Winning Bidder: FORCLUM ENERGIES SERVICES, D937 - BP 13, 62131 VERQUIN, FRANCE

Contract Price: Three Million, Thirty Two Thousand, Five Hundred and Forty One Euros (Euro 3,032,541.00) Plus Seven Hundred and Forty Four Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety One Ghana Cedis (GHC 744,991.00)

Scope of Works: The works under the Upgrade of Electromechanical Equipment at the Akosombo GS and Volta Switchyards involve the:
* Decommissioning and dismantling of the existing SF6 Circuit Breakers, disconnects, surge arresters, capacitor voltage transfomer (CVT) and potential transformers.
* Installation of 1No. 161/11.5kV 5MVA power transfomer and provision of 1No. 11.5/0.415kV 750kVA packaged station service transfomer
* Supply, installation and commissioning of facilities to upgrade the switchyard including but not limited to the following:
* Associated civil works including the modificaiton or repair of any defective foundation and concrete structures, the construction of a relay room for the protection panels and the AC/DC auxiliary power system at the switchyard as well as the extension of the drawing archive building.

Completion Period: Eighteen (18) months
