Procurement of Steel Pipes

Contract/Bid No. YWWP/SteelPipes/15

This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. 694 of January 16, 2007.

The Republic of Armenia has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Yerevan Water and Wastewater Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for procurement of supply of steel pipes.

The “Yerevan Djur” CJSC now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement of supply of 16,8 km steel pipes with diameters 50-300 mm. The latest delivery date of above-mentioned goods is 90-120 days from the date of confirmation of Letter of Credit.

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the “Yerevan Djur” CJSC at the address below during office hours 10:00 to 17:00 local time, (+ 4 GMT).

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US $100 or equivalent amount AMD .

The method of payment will be direct deposit to specified account number.

The Bidding Documents will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery.

All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of US$ 15,000.00 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency, and be delivered to the address below by October 07, 2008; 15:00 local time, (+4 GMT). They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
